They were born, according to an Apulian legend, from the need of a mother to feed her child in a period of famine precisely because they were easy to prepare and made of poor raw materials.
Over the years, taralli have become typical of southern Italy and are prepared in various ways and tastes.
Made with simple, genuine and typical ingredients of the Apulian tradition, they are ideal for an aperitif or as a starter, but can also be nibbled as a nice energetic snack for the little ones.
