It originates in the Gulf of Naples.
Inspired by the resemblance to squid rings, it is made with durum wheat semolina and water in line with the tradition of Campania pasta makers.
This type of pasta is excellent accompanied with fish sauce, very versatile, it is also excellent mixed with any type of sauce or ragù.
